Patient Journey

This patient journey is designed to provide you with information about what to expect during your visit to the Centre.

• When you arrive you will be asked to provide some details about yourself which will be registered by the reception staff. You will then be asked to take a seat in the waiting area.

 • All patients under TWO will be given priority, as will those patients needing urgent attention.

 • The Centre has GPs, triage nurses and nurse Practitioners on duty. Patients will be seen according to the nature and Severity of their symptoms.

 • The waiting time will be dependent on prioritization and the number of patients waiting to be seen. We will endeavor to provide an approximate waiting time whenever possible.

 • When it is your turn to be seen you will be called by the clinician by your name and they will introduce themselves to you. Before any examination the clinician will explain to you what will happen and get verbal consent from you for them to proceed.

 • Following this they will discuss your symptoms with you and explain what kind of treatment you will need, including any medication if required.

 • When the session is complete the clinician will ask your consent to provide a record of the consultation to your own GP practice or, if requested, you can take a copy of the notes away with you.
